On October 28, 2008 our lives were forever changed when Chris was taken from this world much too soon. In this time of great sorrow we have all experienced a greater passion than we had ever known. The overwhelming expression of sympathy we received from those who reached out to us from across the country during this turning point in our lives brought us solace. For this we will be forever grateful.

In Chris’ memory his family has set up The Christopher Laroche Memorial Award. It is through this act of kindness that Chris will continue to touch the lives of others for years to come. Chris’ family will present The Christopher Laroche Memorial Award each year to a deserving high school student from the culinary arts and/or electrical technology programs at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology.
